Parisian Pastries

Living in Paris, how could I not dedicate a post to these delicious, French masterpieces?

Food has a way of showing what a country's culture, people and customs are like all in a simple bite. I chose to taste the sweet side of France, by taking a tour of their pastries!

Every time I order a pastry here, I make sure to stop what I'm doing and savor every bite. I love sweets anyway, but pastries combine the soft with the crunchy, sweet with the salty and always have a touch of sugar!

Here's just some of the sweet treats I've had while studying abroad in Paris:)

An apple tart from La Maison Eric Kayser
Macarons from La Durée, Champs Elysées
Pistachio éclair from a bakery on rue cler (Can you tell I was hungry?)
White Chocolate Raspberry Cupcake at Miss Cupcake in Montmartre
Chou au chocolat (Chocolate filled cream puff, need I say more?) from La Maison Eric Kayser
Scone with red berries from a tea shop by Palais royal
Lemon tart from La Maison Eric Kayser

There are so many more I could add, but I'm sure you're already drooling;)

Bisous,
Lyndi
