Paris.
I can't get enough of this city.
It's absolutely gorgeous!
When I got back last Saturday after my spring break travels, it was raining in Paris; even with rain, the city's beauty was on display.
There's something about this place that just makes me feel at home. It's so comforting. Hearing the French language as I pass by corner cafés, smelling the baked goods coming from local pastry shops, seeing the fresh flowers delicately displayed in window boxes. Paris is so charming and breathtaking.
Hopping on the metro to go across town. Meeting friends in the park and grabbing a coffee afterwards. Eating baguette all the time. Walking by the Seine with a slight breeze and sunshine. Street performers making me smile and laugh. Great friends. The many great laughs shared with my "wifey," Leah. Meeting my new good friend, Batool! Crêpes! Eating at Nadia's crêperie for lunch and him knowing us and our order :)
Paris has allowed me to grow into the person I want to be and let me become more independent. For that, I am beyond thankful. Not only to this city and friends I've made but to my parents, friends and family at home, AIFS and Xavier's Fredin scholarship board for supporting me and giving me this great experience!
I will truly miss this city. It's been home for the past 4 months and I've loved it so very much. As sad as I am to go, I am glad I have something so amazing to come home to, great family and friends. :)
Bisous,
Lyndi
