3 days, 2 girls, 1 car: Indiana Dunes!

For the long weekend, I decided to take a short trip to the desert...well, the closest I could get to that in Indiana!!

When my friend Hannah first told me about this place, I couldn't believe that there were sand dunes in Indiana! (I'm sure you're shocked to hear that too!)

After a short 4-hour drive, we adventured up to Chesterton to begin our relaxing 3-day weekend. An adorable wine tasting, stroll by the beach...you could say our weekend was off to a great start!

With pretty much a beach-bum filled weekend, we decided to also take on the grand "dune challenge"! There are 3 huge dunes to climb which are more like hiking trails but COVERED in sand. It was a nice challenge, but nothing we couldn't handle; so we ventured on!

To celebrate, we soaked up some rays while relaxing on the beach, and then headed to a cider tasting (yum)!

Too much cider? No, just the right amount! ;)

Lastly we ended where we started...at Kemil Beach with a beautiful sunset:)

Tip: weekend trips are a great way to shake up your scenery even with a small budget and short amount of time!

Enjoy the little things in life; it makes life that much more of an amazing adventure!
