Une journée française : "finding French in the midwest"
Il y a un mois que je suis aux states, et la France me manque un peu.
Donc j'ai décidé de passer "une journée française" à Cincinnati, OH. Est-ce que c'est possible à faire ??
Je suis allée chez Macaron Bar pour acheter des macarons de qualité top !! J'y ai travaillé aussi il y a quelques étés:) J'adore cette boulangerie.
Prochain ? Un livre en français ! Si tu ne trouves pas à la libraire, tu peux toujours en commander un en ligne sur Amazon (ou même à la bibliothèque) par exemple. Cependant, j'aime bien flâner dans les allées et trouver un livre qui "me parle." J'ai lu chez moi, mais il y a quelques semaines, j'ai lu au café, et c'était vraiment agréable :)
Pour diner ? A Cincinnati il y a quelques choix pour la cuisine française. Ma préférée, chez La Petite France (par contre c'est un peu cher). La propriétaire est française, et elle a déménagé aux Etats-Unis il y a des années. Sinon Taste of Belgium; il y a des crêpes et des choix belges-américains. Essencha Tea House a des crêpes pour déjeuner aussi !
Alors, je confirme...il est possible de passer une journée française au midwest !

I've been back in the states for about a month now, and I'm missing France just a tad.
So I decided to have a "French day" in Cincinnati, OH. Can it be done ??
I went to Macaron Bar to buy quality macarons !! I used to work there a few summers ago:) I love this bakery !
Next ? A book in French ! If you don't find one at the bookstore, you can always order one online on Amazon (or even at your library) for example. However, I love wandering the aisles and finding a book that speaks to me. I read at home, but went to a cafe to read a few weeks ago and it was really nice:)
For dinner ? There are several choices for French cuisine in Cincinnati. My favorite is La Petite France (though it is a bit pricey). The owner is French and moved to the US years ago. There's also Taste of Belgium; they have crêpes and Belgian-American choices. Essencha Tea House also serve crêpes for lunch !
So it's confirmed...it IS possible to have a "French day" in the midwest.
