Chamonix : Mont Blanc - A must !
What was a super last-minute decision turned out to be an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime trip to Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps at an amazing 4,808 m or 15,774 ft!
A friend was already there, and said I couldn't miss it; so I found a great deal on a train ticket (definitely recommend the carte jeune if you're eligible!) and a few hours later..I was in Chamonix! ^^
To start, I recommend taking the train to enter the city. The local train offers amazing views on your way to Chamonix. It has an extra row of windows near the top so you can really take in the views!!

The town is adorable with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops along with tons of snow activities such as: skiing, paragliding, le pas dans le vide d'Aiguille du midi ("glass box" with a view photo-op), an ice cave near the top and much more! I decided to opt out of skiing to save money, but the views alone were worth coming for me!
There's also lots of cute ski resort towns near by such as Les Houches, so you could easily make it a week adventure if you wanted to try different slopes or explore nearby towns.

Ahhh...in my happy place! :) |
So if you ever find yourself in the Haute-Savoie region during winter, visit Chamonix - Mont Blanc! It's worth it!
