Le Théâtre de la Huchette

By the recommendation of Madame Recker (Xavier French prof), I went to La Huchette Theater tonight.

It was incredible ! It's this quaint, one-room theater off of the Saint Michel metro stop that presents three shows a night. My friend Batool and I saw La Leçon (The Lesson) which is a tragic-comedy about a student and her professor and well, he ends up killing her! It was very well done; they delivered every line with such conviction it was hard not to get sucked in. I loved every moment. Without a doubt returning for another play (plus only 10 euros for students living in Paris!).

If you're ever in Paris (and speak French) I definitely recommend le théâtre de la Huchette ! :)

It was only an hour play so afterwards, Batool and I were walking towards the metro/restaurants and saw some street performers who were incredible! They had such presence--energy, talent, comedic timing.

We ended up going into the metro, because this older man tried hitting on us lol (Strangely gotten used to this...) But we came back up so I could get a crêpe, and we walked around. That area is so lively at night, I'm not used to that living in the 7th!

Hearing the music coming from the bars, we've decided we want to go salsa dancing soon:)

A memorable night to say the least:) Thanks for being my date Batool;) hehe

Bisous,
Lyndi
